Motor Carrier Safety Officer (MCSAP)
Ptl David Young
The Motor Carrier Safety Officer’s primary duties are Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and Inspections as well as Truck Weight Enforcement.
Purpose
The Police Department receives numerous complaints concerning traffic violations, mainly stop sign and speeding violations throughout the residential neighborhoods of Ross Township. This is a top priority for the Traffic Division as it is one of the most important concerns of our citizens and it provides the Police Department with high visibility in our neighborhoods.
Showing our residents that we share their concerns and are willing to take the appropriate action greatly enhances public relations. This is handled in a timely, professional manner on a continuing basis, and not just a one-time appearance. With over 500 roads to patrol in the township and enforce traffic laws, the division is also supplemented with assistance from our Patrol Division Officers.
