The Allegheny County Port Authority is now offering Senior Citizen ConnectCards. Senior Citizens, age 65 or older, who present this ConnectCard at the time of fare payment RIDE FREE. Medicare cards are no longer accepted. This card allows seniors to ride other public transit systems, for free, across the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, not just Allegheny County. Simply tap your card at the fare box and be on your way. Port Authority will continue to accept blue or yellow PA Senior Transit ID cards indefinitely.
Any of the Following Documents are Acceptable as Proof of Age:
- Photo driver's license
- Birth certificate
- Armed Forces discharge or separation papers
- Baptismal certificate
- PACE ID
- Passport or Naturalization papers
- Pennsylvania ID card
- A statement of age from the U.S. Social Security Administration

If you apply at the Downtown Service Center, you will receive your ConnectCard immediately. If you apply at another location, your card will be mailed to that location where you can pick it up after receiving a letter in the mail.
