Honoring Chief Vernon Porter Moses

Honoring Chief Moses
On May 3, 1932, Ross Township Police Chief Vernon Porter Moses was killed in the line of duty while trying to apprehend members of the John Maug Gang. Earlier this month, the Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution honoring his life. Ronald Rickley, the grandson of Chief Moses, and other family members were on hand to receive a memorial plaque.

All meetings will be held in-person in the Board Room. However, the Board of Commissioners have decided to keep offering Zoom as an option for residents to participate virtually in Township meetings.

2022 Independence Day Parade

Independence Day Parade

The 2022 Ross Township Independence Day Parade will be held on Sunday, July 3rd. The parade will begin at approximately 2:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church and continue to Perrysville Fire Station. A celebration will follow beginning at 4 PM at the Ross Community Center. The celebration will include music, food vendors, games, and fireworks!

Free mulch and compost are available near the entrance to our Public Works Facility located at 225 Cemetery Lane. Residents must load the materials themselves.
