Chair Yoga is a class using seated and standing poses (no lying on the floor). We target flexibility, range of motion, balance, posture, core strength, muscular endurance, stress reduction and mind-body connection. (Other benefits may be: bone strength, decreased back pain, improved digestion, improved circulation, strengthened immune system, improved sleep, greater body awareness, and elevated mood.) Our yoga is a blend of different styles: Vinyasa Yoga combines poses into a flowing series that creates energy as well as relaxation. Iyengar Yoga focuses on precise alignment and posture. Viniyoga is a therapeutic style that adapts poses to an individual’s needs. “Yoga is for Everybody and Every Body.”

Meet new friends and get a good aerobic workout! This is a great class for beginners to advanced line dancers. Join instructor, JoAnn Garver, as she walks you through many of today’s most popular line dances. No dance partner needed, and all ages are welcome. This is one of longest-running classes at the Community Center. The instructor will take requests for line dances, and will do her best to help everyone learn!

Come get moving with Chris, our Zumba instructor from L.A. Fitness as she combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training alternating fast and slow rhythms to help improve cardiovascular fitness.

Zumba is known to enhance focus, concentration, comprehension, and memory in not only adults but children also. The movements help to improve physical fitness by improving posture, balance, coordination, and body awareness. Zumba can also help to create an atmosphere of confidence, enthusiasm and non-competitiveness where everyone can succeed.

This dynamic class will have an emphasis on breath/body movement as you flow through poses while building strength and balance both physically and mentally. This is a perfect way to end your day!
This class is an integrative blend of breathing techniques, yoga warm-ups and postures, cool down and deep relaxation. Modifications will be given for each posture to personalize the practice. Potential benefits of this class are increased mobility, flexibility, stability, calm and inner peace. Please bring a yoga mat. All levels welcome.
Attention all future Archeologists! This is the perfect chance to hunt for dinosaurs. Join us for this interactive session where children can crack thru rocks to uncover miniature dinosaurs. They will have a blast uncovering what lurks within the rocks. Please bring a small hammer, and goggles. Please dress children in clothing that can get messy. Parents must stay for the program.
