Start of Work on Part of Mt. Troy Road Extension in Ross Moved to Monday
PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that the start of work on the 4400 block of Mt. Troy Road Extension in Ross Township has been moved due to the unavailability of necessary equipment. A 300-foot section of the road is now expected to close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021. The closure, which is anticipated to end in December 2021, is required for construction of a support wall, installation of slope erosion protection and guide rail, as well as roadway, curb, and drainage repairs.
Traffic will be detoured using Mt. Troy Road and Ivory Avenue.
Residents who live within the closure area will have access to their homes at all times.
The $582,000 project is being is being done by A. Merante Contracting, Inc. of Pittsburgh.
