    Chair Yoga is a class using seated and standing poses (no lying on the floor). We target flexibility, range of motion, balance, posture, core strength, muscular endurance, stress reduction and mind-body connection. (Other benefits may be: bone strength, decreased back pain, improved digestion, improved circulation, strengthened immune system, improved sleep, greater body awareness, and elevated mood.) Our yoga is a blend of different styles: Vinyasa Yoga combines poses into a flowing series that creates energy as well as relaxation. Iyengar Yoga focuses on precise alignment and posture. Viniyoga is a therapeutic style that adapts poses to an individual’s needs. “Yoga is for Everybody and Every Body.”

    Tai Chi is a slow motion, low impact set of movements that benefits the mind and the body. Some of the benefits include improved balance and flexibility, better focus and concentration, stress reduction and overall well-being . The movements are done in a slow relaxed coordinated manner that helps increase circulation to the brain and the internal organs. Tai chi helps regulate the nervous system, which sends signals to the brain. Each movement has a specific name and purpose. Concentrating on these movements keeps the mind alert and sharpens our reaction skills.
