Social Services Program

New Social Services Program

In an effort to provide the very best in police and social services to residents and visitors, a Social Services Program has been implemented in the Ross Township Police Department. In July, Jordan Sager (pictured) was hired as the Social Services Coordinator. Jordan owns a master's degree in social work from Slippery Rock University and is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He will be tasked with establishing this new program and overseeing two interns. This program is funded through 2024 by a Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency Grant.

If you or a loved one need assistance, Jordan can be reached at:

Lowries Run Slopes

Lowries Run Slopes Project

In July, the Board of Commissioners pledged $15,000 to the Allegheny Land Trust for a proposed project to conserve 24 acres of land in the Lowries Run Slopes area. This parcel is adjacent to previously conserved land and would create a 67-acre contiguous greenway. If you would like to learn more about the project, or make a donation, visit Lowries Run Slopes Expansion Project - Allegheny Land Trust.

Evergreen Community Park

Evergreen Community Park

If you have been to ECP recently, hopefully you noticed our improvements. At the end of August, a new solar powered aeration system was installed. This addition will drastically improve water quality and circulation and reduce algae growth. In addition, Asian grass carp have been introduced to the pond to help control the invasive pond weed. ECP looks better already!
