2022 Citizen of the Year

Earlier this month, the Board of Commissioners named Tom Baker the 2022 Durachko-Gottfried Citizen of the Year. This award is presented annually to a Ross Township individual, or a group of individuals, who has made a meaningful and significant impact on our community. Congratulations!

Waste Management Contract

Ross Township, along with other North Hills municipalities, publicly bid a new residential garbage contract this fall. As a result of the new contract, there are several changes. Please view the document below to learn more.

Board of Commissioner's Meeting Schedule

Tuesday, January 3rd - 7:00 PM
Tuesday, January 17th - 7:00 PM
Monday, February 6th - 7:00 PM
Tuesday, February 21st - 7:00 PM
Monday, March 6th - 7:00 PM
Monday, March 20th - 7:00 PM

All meetings will be held in-person in the Board Room. However, the Board of Commissioners have decided to keep offering Zoom as an option for residents to participate virtually in Township meetings.

Honoring Robert Hunt

In November, the Board of Commissioners honored Robert Hunt for 50 years of continuous, active service as a firefighter at the Perrysville Volunteer Fire Company.

Free Tax Preparation

The AARP Tax-Aide Foundation is once again offering free tax preparation. Appointments can be made by calling State Senator Lindsey Williams' Office at 412-364-0469. Tax preparation will be available from February 9th until April 13th at our Municipal Building.

Police Department Hiring

New Junior Commissioners

Adam Serowik and Riley Franz were sworn in by Magisterial District Judge Richard Opiela to serve as the Township's Junior Commissioners for the 2022-2023 School Year. Junior Commissioners are chosen through collaboration of the North Hills School District and Ross Township.
